As part of our Decommissioning and
Demolition efforts we now have available for a very short time a
complete 42 MW Steam Power Plant. This coal-fired power plant
consists of four 60-cycle units including two 7.5 MW (ACG), one
11.5 MW (ACG), and one 15 MW (HCG) Elliott condensing steam
turbines. The station has been out of service since 1985 for Units
1 & 2, and since 1991 for Units 3 & 4. These coal-fired
units were well maintained and are located in an enclosed
structure. The units include, two 90,000 lbs / hr. stoker-type
boilers (Units 1 & 2) , Unit 3 boiler is a 125,000 lbs. / hr
stoker-type unit and Unit 4 boiler is a 165,000 lbs. / hr.
pulverized coal type with electrostatic precipitator. Coal
conveyor systems, crushers, transformers, auxiliary systems, and
controls are also available.

governor actuators, magnetos, oil pumps, bearings, carburetor
parts, and miscellaneous exhaust heat recovery equipment.

5.7 Mw Wood burning Plant

As part of our Decommissioning and
Demolition efforts we now have available a complete 5.7 Mw Wood
burning Plant in full Operating Condition. The 5.7 Mw steam power
plant is a California licensed facility with options for extended
leasing to meet re-powering requirements. The well maintained,
60-cycle unit (located in an enclosed structure) includes one 5.7
MW (tewac) condensing steam turbine, boiler (50,00 lbs./hr. Steam
capacity stoker type units), fuel conveyor systems, separator,
baghouse, stack, condenser, condensate pumps, and boiler feed
pumps. Transformers, auxiliary systems, and controls are also
available.

Request for Proposals for Two Small Hydroelectric Sites
Georgetown Divide Public Utility
District Board of Directors is requesting proposals to restore and
reoperate two small hydroelectric sites within the District's
water conveyance system. Privately owned turbine-generator units
were previously operated at these sites from 1983 thru 1998, and
were removed by the owner. GDPUD proposes to resume energy
production at the sites and is seeking business proposals to
restore the facilities. 1) Tunnel Hill 600 kw, 2,100,000 kwh, and
2) Buckeye 396 kw, 1,500,000 kwh.

Technical
Information This coal-fired power
plant consists of four 60-cycle units ranging from 7.5 MW up to 15
MW (41.5 MW total). The station has been out of service since 1985
for Units 1 & 2, and since 1991 for Units 3 & 4. These
coal-fired units were well-maintained and are located in an
enclosed structure. They include two 7.5 MW (ACG), one 11.5 MW (ACG),
and one 15 MW (HCG) condensing steam turbines. Boilers, coal
conveyor systems, crushers, transformers, auxiliary systems,
and controls are also available.
Background
Located in the mid-western part of the United States, the customer
essentially operated these units until 1991, when rail service was
no longer available and trucking of fuel became too expensive.
Operation of Units 1 & 2 (7.5 MW each) commenced in 1949, and
they were retired in 1985. Unit 3 (12 MW) was put into service in
1951; Unit #4 (15 MW) was put into service in 1954; and both were
then retired in 1991. The units were kept on turning gear until
1998, but have been kept in a controlled environment since that
time. Two of the boilers are 90,000 lbs / hr. stoker-type units
(Units 1 & 2). Unit 3 boiler is a 125,000 lbs. / hr stoker-type
unit. And Unit 4 boiler is a 165,000 lbs. / hr. pulverized coal
type with electrostatic precipitator.
Inspection
Based on a letter of intent from a financially responsible
company, inspection of the units can be immediate. Buyers can
inspect the equipment with their own engineers, and MARCOR can
arrange for representatives of the utility to be present to answer
questions.
